Give them a voice.

Children & teens who have experienced trauma need someone whom they trust to listen to their questions, accept their feelings, and be there for them.

YWCA Project Recovery provides practical information & coping strategies for children, pre-schoolers & teens who have experienced traumatic events like

bullying

family violence,

substance abuse,

grief/loss

separation & divorce

abandonment

foster care

YWCA Project Recovery gives children and youth a voice.

Participants are encouraged to talk about their feelings, explore healthy coping strategies, discover a support system, develop a safety plan and enhance their self-esteem. Every session is designed to increase the child or teen's sense of belonging and trust. The sessions are facilitated by qualified professionals who facilitate healthy discussion and self-discovery.
